Just remember, the true spirit of Christmas lies in your heart.

The day before Christmas Eve, we went to go see the Zoo Lights.  We would've gone to Temple Square, but that gets way to crowded and we wanted to stay away from crowds if we could avoid it this year.  (Thanks to Amazon.com, that was possible for our Christmas shopping)  We made sure to get nice and bundled up because the Zoo is up the canyon and the wind makes it nice and cold up there!  Grace gets so cozy whenever we put her in her snowsuit she falls asleep pretty quick!

Zoo lights was pretty fun--not much to see animal-wise, but the ones that like the cold were out and about!  Also, I thought the lights they had were lots of fun!
Grace and the Reindeer!

Oh it's Pare Noel!  The one in the lights, not the one holding Grace.

The zoo has fire-breathing Dragons.  Don't let the word get out--Utah's best kept secret.

The sweetest thing--this animate light has all the animals handing each other the star, until the snake places it on top of the tree.  Love it!

Peacocks even had lights on their feathers!

Me no likey spiders.

All aboard the Zoofari!

We didn't get aboard because this lighted creeper kept eyeing Gracie.
After the zoo, we went to our old favorite--Ruth's Diner.  I got a Rueben, Brady got Grown-up Mac&Cheese.  Both were delicious.  Poor little Grace's fingers and toes were cold so we spent a little time warming her up.
I told Brady that him warming up Gracie's little fingers and toes reminded me of our Valentine's Day while we were still dating, where we took snowmobiles up the canyon.  I was ill-prepared for the coldness of that day and by the time we got back, my fingers and toes were solid ice.  Brady put his hands on my icy toes and blew warm air on them.  That's when I knew that Brady MUST love me, because otherwise he would have NEVER put my toes anywhere near his face.
Ahhh...young love.

Here is Gracie trying to convince Daddy to give her a bit of the brownie sundae

Grace loves giving *forceful* kisses

Her little cheeks--still so rosy from the cold.
What a fun way to spend the day before Christmas Eve!  We LOVE the holiday season!
